Having Baby Home 1-2 months

We are all loving this sweetheart!  She is nocturnal so we have a lot of late night dates!

Birthday, Halloween and Baby Blessing

Madelynn is our sweetheart!  She loves pizza and apples.  She loves to put crafts together and color/paint.  She also loves to sing and dance in her ballet outfit.  She calls the Optometrist "the eye dentist"

We were grateful to bless our little Ashley on November 2, 2014

 We weren't able to get a recording of the blessing, so here are some things that I remembered.  She will have a strong will to stand for what's right and true; Marry in the temple to someone of her choice; blessed with the ability to withstand temptation; Serve a mission if she chooses; Blessed with a sense of humor.

Ashley Claire Anderson * 7 pounds, 10 ounces* 20.5 inches long at 10:23am

 

I was induced with her on September 10, 2014 (to prevent her from being born on the sidewalk:).  I felt my first hard contraction right after the Dr. broke my water and about 45 minutes  and two pushes later she arrived.  The Pitocin was pretty painful and at one point I had continuous hard contractions for about 10 min.  I mentioned something to the nurse and she said, "Ok, we can probably turn the drip off."  Yikes!  I wished that had been noticed sooner.  She was beautiful and healthy and we love having her apart of our family!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When she was first born we thought she looked a lot of Grant.  Now we see mostly Grant with a little bit of Madelynn.  She definitely looks like one of ours :).

 

The kids visited the day Ashley was born.  Unfortunately, they weren't allowed to visit the 2nd day because of a respiratory infection that was going around.

Madelynn has especially fallen in love with baby Ashley and is very eager to hold her and help with baths and picking out clothing.

Summer Catch Up post

This has been such an awesome summer! 

 

On June 25th we celebrated Grant's 7th Birthday!  He had a Lego Ninjago themed birthday party.

I had the opportunity to play in an orchestra organized by our church.  We performed the Joseph Smith Oratorio by Rob Garner.

 

 

 The kids were excited to baby sit a bearded dragon, which I don't mind because then I don't have to commit long-term :)

 

 

 

We took our annual trip to Lake Michigan.  This year we stayed in St. Joseph, MI and it was absolutely beautiful.
