Happy Birthday Grant!

Today was a big day for our little family. Grant turned 1 and he met his great Grandparents (GGma and GGpa Anderson). I can't believe how fast time has gone. It is crazy to think that one year ago we welcomed our new baby into the world. Our little baby is now running around the house and getting into everything he can find.

I thought it would be fun to make Grant a Froggy cake for his birthday. Kathy was nice enough to help with the frosting and frogs:)

Quilting and Sailing

We've been having a great time since we arrived in Washington! For starters, Chris' mom has been nice enough and patient enough to teach me how to quilt! Yeah, for more skills! So below is the table runner that I quilted for my sister.

And... Chris has made some nice friends at work, so yesterday we were invited to go sailing on the Puget Sound. We had a great time (especially since I took a few dramamine - and Grant was well behaved.)

Seattle Aquarium

Last Saturday Chris and I decided to visit the Seattle Aquarium. We had a great time and enjoyed watching Grant run from exhibit to exhibit looking at the "shhhh" (Fish).

We paid $15 per person and Grant was probably the most entertained by putting this leaf on his head.





I don't think this is Grant- but it is a cute little boy that looked like Grant from the back looking at River Otters.

These are sea snakies (I don't remember scientific name) that stick half of their bodies under the sand and float standing like this. In one garden, there can be over 1000 of these guys- kind of creepy.

Fun in the Sun and visiting Leavenworth

We have been having a lot of fun since we arrived in Washington. And to say the least Grant has been very entertained and very entertaining. When the weather is nice we run outside to enjoy the sun and try to catch a little croquet.

Grant was loving the mallets, which was nice because then he was too busy to notice the bite size rocks lining the house.

On another nice day, Kathy, Chris, Grant and I went for a hike on a plateau in Issaquah.

A couple of weeks ago we decided to travel North to Leavenworth- a charming Bavarian Town.

Grant thought this was the biggest dog he had ever seen.
